Updates for Nav N Go iGO 8

Map updates for Nav N Go iGO 8 are provided through our new update and service web portal: www.naviextras.com.

Map and 3D updates are available on the www.naviextras.com site. The updates will be downloaded and installed to the SD card with the Toolbox application.

Naviextras.com portal supports both updating your current maps and POIs, and adding extra maps to your navigation software in order to extend its coverage.

Nav N Go offers a free online software patch for registered users to upgrade their version 8.0. software to version 8.3

Official Nav N Go iGO8 PDA product owners who are registered on the naviextras.com portal will be able to download a Software patch to uprade their products to iGO8.3 version.

To access the patch and manage the upgrade process users also need to download or refresh the Toolbox PC application. Only Toolbox v2.1.1.6 is equipped to offer and support this upgrade process.

The following version numbers (check the SETTINGS/ABOUT screen) can access the SW upgrade patch:

• o 8.0.0.31442 (Sold in Retail)
• o 8.0.0.49545 (Sold in Retail)
• o 8.0.0.73871 (naviextras update patch)
• o 8.0.0.88902 (naviextras update patch)
• o 8.0.0.99217 (naviextras update patch)
• o 8.0.0.109831(naviextras update patch)

The upgrade also involves replacement of the original maps. Version 8.0 uses a different map format to version 8.3. The original maps will not be opened or supported with the new SW version.

Note: POI’s, USER POI’s, 3D Landmarks and 3D citymaps will not be replaced, and will remain unaffected on the SD card!

Overview of the Upgrade
The process requires 2 major steps to complete:

1. Access and download the SW patch via Toolbox , Install on device and Run it.
2. Access the new format maps to replace the old ones.

Note: This map replacement is not a map update. Users will not access new map versions or latest maps with this transaction!
The SW patch is free of charge.

Step by step guide to the upgrade

• Check your current software version by visiting the SETTINGS/ABOUT screen
• Open your Toolbox application if you are already using one.
  • If you have never used this Application, first register on the naviextras.com update portal
  • then Download "Naviextras Toolbox" from the site.
• Toolbox version must be 2.1.1.6. (Upgrade the version by using the Toolbox Update offered automatically)
• Take your SD card and connect to your PC, Toolbox will recognize your current version.
  Important! We strongly recommend you make a Backup of your old version.
• Log in (Get connected) and Click on "My Updates". Toolbox will automatically offer you the iGO8.3 software upgrade patch.
  • Download the "iGO My Way 8(PDA) upgrade to 8.3" software patch file.
  • Install the SW patch on the SD card – a download status bar will appear (42MB)
• Once it is done a "Warning message" pops up, informing you about the successful update and next steps:
  • Disconnect your SD card from the computer
  • Put the SD back to the PDA, and launch iGO.
  • Text reading: "A newer version...." pops up - Accept it. Now the new version will start (you can double check it in Settings/About 8.3.2.124260), but no maps will be visible at all.
  • Exit application
• Take the SD out from the PDA, and connect to the PC again, Restart Toolbox and Login again.
• This time the Toolbox will offer the 8.3 compatible versions of all your previously installed maps.
• You will see a list of maps "Fix for XXXXCountry.fbl"
• Click on "Installation Wizard" – It will offer a "BACKUP" but reject it with "No Thanks". Click all the maps you wish to download one by one.
• Download and install all of these maps.
• Exit Toolbox, put the SD back to the PDA, and start iGO. Now all the new format maps will be available for navigation.
• You are ready to go with your latest SW version!
