Nav N Go Sponsors Talented Programmers
Last weekend saw the Function 2007 contest, one of the most popular annual events among computer programmers. The Function 2007 Demoscene Meeting had groups of talented individuals proving their skills in the fields of graphics, music and programming. One of the sponsors of the event, Nav N Go, presented every contestant with a gift package and each member of the winning team with a copy of the navigation software iGO My way Europe.
On the morning of Saturday 22 September, groups of programmers gathered in the Táncsics Mihály House of Culture in Soroksár, where they would spend the weekend. Demoscene contests are well-known for groups working on their assignments for hours, without any break. This year they did not finish until the early hours of Sunday morning.

This year's event was as successful as the previous ones. The teams competed against each other in a positive atmosphere and the event drew more visitors than anticipated. In addition to the 'old boys’ of the multi-platform demoscene party, beginners and visitors alike participated in the event, not only Hungarians, but also guests from Belgium, Turkey, Finland and Austria,” said Gergely Szelei Kis, one of the main organisers of the event.

Nav N Go, the software development company was among the sponsors. The teams of three received customised gif packages in recognition of their work. Each member of the winning team of programmers was presented with a copy of the GPS navigation software iGO My way Europe. In the ‘Demo’ category, the United Force team won, while the eXtrait team was placed first in the ‘64 kilobyte intro’ category. We extend our warm congratulations to the winners!

This is not the first programmers' contest to be sponsored by Nav N Go. We are continuing this tradition, because as a dynamically growing company we are always on the lookout for programming professionals. We therefore see events like this a kind of talent show. We are happy to participate in every such event that provides an opportunity for creative and often brilliant coders, both Hungarian and foreign, to show us what they can do," said Leon van de Pas, CEO of Nav N Go.
