New roads to navigate on! Free download of the iGO My way Hungary updated map!
The newly updated iGO My way Hungary map is ready, and it can also be downloaded for free by loyal users everywhere! The new map contains long-term road closures and recently opened roads, as well as much more detail about the road network, making navigation even more easy. As in the past, once again the users of the iGO My way 2005 and 2006 software can get the latest map of Hungary at no charge. The length of the road network has been expanded with 783 km, including the new section of M3 between Görbeháza and Nyíregyháza, the Dunaújváros addition to M8, the detour around Balatonkenese and Balatonfűzfő, as well as the section of M7 built between Becsehely-Nagykanizsa and Zamárdi-Balatonszárszó, including the Kőröshegy Viaduct. The map contains road closures due to long-term construction projects, such as the traffic changes of the Műegyetem Quay, Fehérvári út, the Móricz Zsigmond Roundabout, and Kálvin Square.
Since the previous update, 37 site surveys have taken place, at each of which the map data was refined. Camera measurement was used to check and correct the speed limits on highways M1, M15, M3, M30, M5, M6, M7, M8, M9 and roads 1, 6, 45, 47, and 442. Also, with the help of orthophotography, the geometry and scenic layers have been amended for the road network of 25 sites in the region around the capital city. The POI database of the updated Hungary map presently contains 44,264 db of points of interest, or more than 7000 new restaurants, hotels, petrol stations, and many other important places have been added to the destinations you can choose from. The online error reporting service also continues to be a success. Thanks to the reports of our users, we have been able to correct map mistakes at 3218 locales.
