Nav N Go iGO 8 Coming Soon to All Europe
At their press conference in Budapest on 17 th April, Nav N Go announced that the memory card version of their new 3D navigation software will be launched in Hungary within a fortnight, followed by the start of product distribution all over Europe. Nav N Go iGO 8 Europe contains detailed maps covering 43 European countries, and also brings a number of new features to the navigation experience.
New 3D software eagerly awaited
The official launch presentation of Nav N Go iGO 8 in Budapest was attended by most of the national press that deal with new technology. The event opened with welcoming words from Nav N Go’s Chief Operating Officer, András Fazakas; then Zoltán Mohos described the benefits of the new software. Following the introduction, Attila Simon, Online Product Manager, talked about the new webshop system and the soon-to-be-available online update possibilities. After the presentations, the Hungarian distributor DiFo Magyarország (RRC Hungary Kft.) .) was introduced by their representative, Business Manager Zsolt Molnár.

Why is Nav N Go iGO 8 so special?
The revolutionary software solution from Nav N Go now makes it possible to use realistic 3D navigation on PDAs. The Nav N Go iGO 8 GPS navigation software can be purchased from 28th April in Hungary; and in May the first sets of the product will be distributed in several European countries. The product is being launched in a new kind of packaging. The specially designed giftbox contains a microSD memory card, a miniSD and an SD adapter, to provide universal compatibility, a user manual, and a DVD containing everything needed to enjoy the additional updates that will be released in the future.

Nav N Go iGO 8 is easy to use; all you have to do is insert the memory card into a device that is able to run the program; and the software is ready to use! You can travel all over Europe without needing to change maps every time you enter a different country.

When developing the new product, one of our priorities was to provide users with an easy to use, Plug and Go program, similar to the former iGO My way, which was so popular with so many people,” said András Fazakas, Nav N Go’s Chief Operating Officer. “Installing and managing Nav N Go iGO 8 is also simple; and at the same time, it contains a range of fine tuning possibilities that advanced navigators will appreciate most.”

3D maps and countless user-friendly functions
Nav N Go iGO 8 integrates everything offered by accurate maps and sophisticated graphics: the 3D visualization of the buildings and landmarks around you, and the realistic road and terrain elevations, all make navigation easier than ever before. On your navigation screen you will recognize plenty of famous landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben and the Colosseum.

Following the prevailing trends in the navigation market, we have also set off on a road that leads to lifelike visualization; and we have managed to be the first to launch navigation software containing 3D map objects,” said Attila Kátai, Nav N Go’s Chief Content Officer. “Nav N Go’s Content Solutions Division is constantly working on integrating new 3D buildings and landmarks both in Hungary and in several other European countries, thus continuously increasing the number of available 3D cities.

Nav N Go iGO 8 includes a large number of innovations in POI management too. Apart from the 8 million points of interest preloaded into the database, users can add their own POIs, and share them on the internet as well. The POI search not only allows users to search for POIs around a selected address, but also along their planned route; this means that users no longer have to divert from the optimum route in order to find a desired via point, such as an ATM or filling station.

Nav N Go has not forgotten about keen game players either: The software comes with three award-winning mobile games from PDAmill Game Studios: GameBox Boards, The Corsair and Bowling for Burgers. Bowling for Burgers was recently rated the second best mobile game by the American Smartphone and Pocket PC Magazine.
