Nav N Go Aiming at Complete Coverage of Eastern Europe with Six New Maps
Adding to the existing 12 Eastern European Countries, Nav N Go introduces mapping solutions for Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, and three Baltic Nations
Nav N Go Kft, a leading GPS navigation solution provider, today announced a substantial expansion of its Eastern European map coverage to offer an extensive and reliable mapping package for the Eastern European markets. Users can now experience Nav N Go’s famous 3D visualization, landmarks and road elevation in a total of 18 Eastern European countries.

The new maps for Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania represent a major step for Nav N Go in providing the best quality maps for Eastern Europe,” explains Attila Kátai, Nav N Go’s Chief Content Officer. “This expansion is powered by Nav N Go’s map technology subsidiary,  Top-Map Zrt., and we remain committed to aggregating the most up-to-date coverage for rapidly developing regions like Central and Eastern Europe.

Covering approximately 535,000 km of road, the six new maps feature over 80,000 Points of Interest. The extended Eastern European mapping solution will be available for the Nav N Go iGO 8 and iGO amigo software platforms in Q2 2009. Following Nav N Go’s free-of-charge map update offer for its current Eastern European maps on naviextras.com, customers using the new maps for Nav N Go iGO 8 or iGO amigo will also enjoy regular map updates via the company’s update portal in the near future.

Nav N Go also announced the availability of an RDS-TMC service for Slovenia in its navigation software. The company’s hardware partners in this region are now able to launch TMC enabled devices. Based on a new service by TrafficNav and Radiotelevizija Slovenija, the Traffic Message Channel provides users with first-hand information on the traffic situation, congestion and expected delays on their route. With reliable Nav N Go map coverage, users of Nav N Go iGO 8 and iGO amigo are able to re-route without losing time or getting frustrated.
