Clarion's New MAP Navigation Systems Bring You Real 3D Navigation from Nav N Go
Clarion, a leading manufacturer in mobile technology, is introducing two premium portable navigation systems, the MAP680 and MAP780. These attractive and exciting devices take the guesswork out of navigation, and also provide a range of entertainment and communication functions. Clarion is the latest in a long line of companies to choose navigation software powered by Nav N Go, the innovative Hungarian company which has revolutionized satellite navigation by offering realistic 3D depictions of the routes you are traveling. The screen shows the buildings around you in a city and the mountains and valleys of the countryside. Satellite navigation has never looked so good! And looks aren't all! The MAP680 and MAP780 come with a wealth of features to make driving an easier, more rewarding experience.
Both the MAP680 and the MAP780 were exhibited at the Car and Sound Event April 10-13 in Sinsheim, Germany. This event, an international trade fair for mobile electronics, features acoustic and optical technology from around the globe. This year’s Car and Sound Event featured a wide variety of mobile technology, as well as numerous competitions hosted by EMMA and dB Drag Racing.

Clarion's new navigation devices powered by Nav N Go software allow drivers to feel as though they have a passenger sitting in the seat next to them, so they never need to look down at a map again. Both the MAP680 and MAP780 include a text to speech feature that tells drivers where to turn, speaks the names of the streets, and warns them of speed limits. There is also a built-in RDS-TMC tuner providing up-to-the-minute traffic information and a rapid re-routing capability to allow drivers to reach their destination as painlessly as possible.

Along with the speech feature, the navigation systems also provide drivers with a wide LCD screen operated by touch control, providing a three dimensional topographical view of the surrounding landscape, as well as a zoom function to give them a close-up look at the buildings, bridges and landmarks, also all in 3D. Clarion has made a wise decision in choosing Nav N Go as their software provider, for the European version covers 43 countries, including the entire Western and Eastern European mainland, and is available in 32 languages, so drivers can listen to their native tongue, or even practice a foreign language! Besides this, the software is easy to use, and the visual experience it offers is unique.

We are happy to see that the direction of the navigation market is towards the quality and unicity of the features, and this is why Nav N Go continuously works on expanding the areas of coverage, on making the fastest software on the market even faster and on satisfying all partners that decided to go for the 3D our software,” says Leon van de Pas, the Chief Executive Officer of Nav N Go.

Clarion's MAP680 and MAP780 offer even more than navigation, with many entertainment features that make traveling a pleasure rather than a trial. The devices can both be used as a portable movie player for passengers and a digital photo album for displaying pictures en route, and the screen converts into a handy touch screen MP3/WMA player that provides drivers with a wide variety of easily accessible music options. For communication, there is a built-in Bluetooth ® with a hands-free set, phonebook management, and POP message for incoming SMSs.

Clarion's new premium portable navigation systems offer a comprehensive enhancement to the driving experience, with a smart touchscreen, numerous safety features, and of course the outstanding visual graphics, multiple language options, and unparalleled coverage of the navigation software, powered by Nav N Go.
