Nav N Go: One Hundred and Fifty Cyclists at the Citadel
Nav N Go contributed towards the healthy life style of their employees; some one hundred and fifty staff of the national software development company received a surprise bike to add a little exercise to their daily lives, which is spent mostly sitting down. The bikes were delivered to the Citadel, where the workers cycled downhill together to the nearby headquarters of the company. Ever since the beginning Nav N Go has put major emphasis on the recognition of their employees as the source of their success. Management pays great attention to making sure their staff work with modern tools, under proper working conditions, and that they have the opportunity to enjoy a much needed rest. This time they set the important goal of making the life style of the Nav N Go experts more healthy and to that end, as part of a ceremonial event, each Nav N Go employee received their own bike. Naturally, the Hungarian software developer opted for a popular and reliable national product, Gepida, as a proper present, since these high-tech trekking bikes provide adequate safety and comfort to their users.
“It is not often that we have a chance to cooperate with a Hungarian company in such a large-scale donation action. . I dare say that Nav N Go leads the way in supporting a healthy, active life and is a good example for other Hungarian companies to follow”– say Zsolt Rózsa, salesman of Olimpia Kft, manufacturer of Gepida.
On 27 October more than hundred bikes, with the Nav N Go logo, were set up on the top of Gellért hill, where the unsuspecting colleagues were invited to attend. The staff received their bikes personally, with much surprise, then donned the Nav N Go coloured protective gear and jacket and cycled down together to Bérc Street, to the new headquarters of the company to celebrate the grand opening of the Nav N Go House.
“With this present we wanted to give our colleagues a chance to spend more of their free time practicing sports and getting some fresh air in the hope that for just one day of the week they will choose the bike and cycle to work at the new Nav N Go office in District 1, instead of taking public transport or driving their car.But this is not the only way we hope to contribute to the health of our employees. When, due to our increasing number, we had to change our headquarters we took care to move to a clean and quiet environment. In thenewly renovated building, following requests from our employees, we have a recreation room where they can rest and relax and we are planning to set up a fitness roomto provide further sports opportunities to our colleagues.” – says András Fazakas, Chief Operating Officer, Nav N Go
This is not the first time Nav N Go has encouraged their employees to exercise. At the end of the summer the company had their own team, which participated in a race called “Fut a cég (The Company Runs)” where their relay racing team finished in the middle. In addition to that Nav n Go participated in the III. Jacht Akadémia Kupa (Third Academic Yacht Cup) organized at the Adriatic Sea.
