Senior programmer

Duties:

Developing iGO My way GPS navigation software and applications, and supervising the development of a given main module.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years experience in C/C++ in game or application development
• Software design experience
• Team/project leadership experience
• Great independence and pro-activity
• Quality-oriented attitude
• Ability to independently handle several tasks
• English language knowledge

Preferred:

• Experience in multiplatform development
• Knowledge of limited (old) platform(s) (PDA/i386/Amiga/C64)
• Experience in demo development
• Practical knowledge of mobile platforms
• Detailed knowledge of any of the following:
  
  • ARM processors
  • 3D programming
  • Compacting techniques
  • User interface design

Junior programmer

Duties:

Developing iGO My way GPS navigation software and applications.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years experience of C/C++ in game or application development
• Experience in software design
• Quality-oriented attitude

Preferred:

• Experience in multiplatform development
• Knowledge of limited (old) platform(s) (PDA/i386/Amiga/C64)
• Experience in demo development
• Practical knowledge of mobile platforms (Symbian (2nd, 3rd, UIQ); MS Smartphone (Windows Mobile)
• Experience in UI development (MFC, .NET)
• Qt library familiarity
• English language knowledge
• Detailed knowledge in any of the following:

Testing engineer

Duties:

Testing iGO My Way GPS navigation software, collaborating with in-house and external beta-testing teams.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6-months testing experience (other than in the field of games)
• English language knowledge
• Good communication skills
• Quality-oriented attitude
• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• Initiative, creativity
• Detailed knowledge in any of the following:
  
  • Knowledge of C/C++ programming language
  • 3D knowledge/experience
  • Excellent competence in documentation and test case writing
  • User-level Mapinfo knowledge

Preferred:

• Familiarity with PDA/PNA devices and GIS, navigation experience
• Experience in C/C++ and/or other programming languages
• Ability to cope with monotonous work

Technical Writer

Duties:

Preparing the documentation of Nav N Go software in a modular text processing system in English and, preferably, in Hungarian. Working independently on the specification of technical content for user manuals, short guides, background materials, installation manuals, etc. Cooperating with the project team on available information, compiling raw material, corrections, and content standardization.

Requirements:

• Competence in preparing technical documents in English
• Proficiency in English – or professional translator exam
• Excellent writing skills
• Ability and willingness to get familiar with programming
• MA in languages and/or information sciences, or in information technology
• General technical frame of mind

Preferred:

• Familiarity with XHTML coding
• Competence in programming
• Graphical skills and experience in preparing publications
• Knowledge of several foreign languages
• Published reference material

 

Map Tester

Duties:

In-house testing of the maps included in Nav N Go navigation software, working out the testing process/workflow, keeping contact with the in-house testing team.
Applicants are required to have practical experience in using navigation systems developed for cars.

Requirements:

• Quality-oriented/cartographer attitude
• Good communication skills
• Extraordinary ability to concentrate
• English language knowledge
• User-level knowledge of MapInfo/ArcGIS
• Experience in cartography/geographic information systems/land-measuring

Preferred:

• Experience in programming
• Active cooperation in announcing topographical errors (e.g. on the terkep.topmap.hu website)

 

Account Manager

Duties:

The primary duties include fostering relations with existing Nav N Go partners in Hungary and abroad, supporting international projects, preparing and supporting international business cooperation agreements, designing and supporting business strategies and cooperation models, and preparing and strategically supporting the market launches of Nav N Go’s business partners. Duties also include preparing reports, plans and presentations in English on a regular basis, participating in pricing and in preparing quotations as well as delivering reports to the management. The applicant is required to obtain up-to-date information on international trends, concurrent technologies and business models. Additional duties include representing Nav N Go at international trade fairs and events.

Automotive Account Manager

Duties:

The primary duties include fostering relations with existing Nav N Go partners in Hungary and abroad, preparing international car navigation projects, managing and supporting complex projects with regard to the characteristics of the built-in navigation software systems, preparing and supporting international business cooperation agreements, designing and supporting business strategies and cooperation models, and preparing and strategically supporting the market launches of Nav N Go’s business partners. Duties also include preparing reports, plans and presentations in English on a regular basis, participating in pricing and in preparing quotations as well as delivering reports to the management. The applicant is required to obtain up-to-date information on international trends, concurrent technologies and business models. Additional duties include representing Nav N Go at international trade fairs and events.
